What Is Bufo?
Bufo is often confused with Kambo, but the two are very different and you definitely don't want to mix them up, otherwise you might have just accidentally signed up for the wildest ride of your life.
Bufo is a secretion that comes from the Bufo Alvarius toad. It contains 5-Meo-DMT. When smoked it delivers one of the most powerful entheogenic experiences known to mankind. Whereas Kambo is a non-psychedelic secretion from the Phyllomedusa Bicolor frog which induces a powerful purge that serves as a deep cleanse of the physical, emotional, and spiritual body.
The Bufo toad lives in the dry Sonoran Desert, it spends 9 months of the year living under ground in total darkness. The Kambo frog, on the other hand, is found in the Amazon forest and lives up high in the luscious rainforest trees. The two are polar opposites.
Bufo contains a potent psychedelic secretion which has in it more than a dozen tryptamine compounds, including the most powerful psychoactive substance on the planet, 5-MeO-DMT, also known as the God Molecule.
5-MeO-DMT is said to be up to 10x stronger than it's more commonly known cousin, NN-DMT, or commonly referred to as "DMT". Although chemically similar, the two are absolutely nothing alike.
The "God Molecule"
5-MeO-DMT has been given the nick name of "God Molecule" because it is famous for delivering direct experience of God/Source/Divinity– a true non-dual experience. With the complete dissolution of your ego construct, the veil is lifted, and you become “One with the Universe”, a state often spoken of and only accessed by the great mystics and sages of our times.
The indescribable mystical experience of complete ego dissolution can be deeply healing as it offers a new perspective that allows the individual to break free of limiting beliefs, ego-constructs, social and cultural conditioning, personal and ancestral traumas, to offer them access to their liberated Infinite Self.
Often this experience induces a rapid release of stored traumas and energetic blockages, which restructures the entire system from the inside out. For these reasons many people find Bufo to be incredibly useful for personal and spiritual development and totally life changing.
If you look deep into the core of every religion and spiritual practice, you will discover a common narrative leading people towards union with the Infinite, a merging with God. The yogis call this "Samadhi", Buddhists call it "Nirvana". These terms are attempts of the mind to describe the highest level of consciousness, which in itself is ineffable.
For these reasons, in the world of entheogens, 5-MeO-DMT has become known as the Crown Jewel or The God Molecule.
Current research and anecdotal evidence show great promise in the treatment of certain medical conditions including: depression, anxiety, addiction, and PTSD. That being said this medicine is not a “cure-all” panacea. It should be taken extremely seriously because it's effects are incredibly intense. They can be deeply healing or deeply traumatic if approached incorrectly. You are getting granted access some of the deepest level of Consciousness. Serious preparation and awareness of the risks is required for a beneficial experience.
It's important to note that everyone who sits with Bufo has a different experience, and every time you sit with Bufo you will have a different experience from the last.
The Process
Application
The medicine is vaporized and smoked through a glass pipe with one slow and steady breath, inhaling for about 20-30 seconds. The medicine comes on rapidly, often within seconds of inhaling. Your journey may be between 10-30 minutes long.
In one session you will sit with the medicine 3 times. We start small, and each consecutive dose will titrate you up to what is called the "Full Embrace" dose. In between doses, or pipes, you will have all the time you need to feel complete and move to the next pipe.
In a session it is common for core wound material to surface including suppressed energies, unintegrated painful past experiences, or repressed emotions. They may begin to come to conscious awareness to be address, mobilized, and released from your system.
Each person's experience is vastly different from the other. You may lose sense of your body, time, and space, and as you ego dissolves you get glimpse of WHAT you are beyond the confinements of your mind. You may experience overwhelming amounts of energy or emotion, an ego death, total unity with all that is, complete liberation of the True Essence of your being. Or you may have a past life regression, re-live a traumatic event to finally release it from your body. The experience might be total ecstasy or absolute confusion and terror. There are no guarantees or expectations on what "should happen."
As you return and watch your ego reform, you may begin to have a better understanding of what it is and how it functions. Now, that you've seen the truth of your Being and a greater truth of reality, you can see your ego with more clarity and you are no longer as strongly identified with it, and it’s control over you loosens. This is the beginning of true liberation.
During: The Presentation & Purge
During the full release the individual often loses awareness of their body and what they are doing. Bufo is a journey through the deepest realms of consciousness, into states of infinite awareness, far beyond the realms of the mind. As your mind and it's egoic holding patterns dissolve, often times long held pent up energies that have been locked in place by the mind are released.
This may look like rolling, shaking, kicking, punching, spitting, screaming, vomiting, getting up and moving around the space, anything is possible. Often the person who is in the medicine has little or no awareness of what they are physically doing, very similar to how someone who is sleep walking has no recollection of what they did.
As consciousness is liberated, the body (the vessel), is free to discharge energy and past traumas that have been blocking it's natural state of being. This is why it is important to have a knowledgable facilitator present, so that your body is safe while you journey.
Contra-Indications
Bufo is completely safe when applied properly. However, there are some conditions for which Bufo is contraindicated. This is not an exhaustive list so it's important to consult a properly trained and skilled practitioner if you have any concerns. Contraindications include people:

Have serious heart problems, have had heart surgery, or have an enlarged heart.

Have serious lung problems or respiratory condition.

Lack the mental capacity to make the decision to take Bufo
-
Have serious mental health problems, (excluding depression, PTSD, and anxiety)

On meditations that contain SSRI's.

Are recovering from a major surgical procedure, (including with internal stitches)

Are under 18 years old
Other Cautions
The following people may take Bufo, but extra caution is required:
